Dr. Kathrin Härtl

Kathrin Härtl studied English and German Literature at LMU, Munich and completed her studies in 2011. (Staatsexamen Lehramt Gymnasium, Englisch und Deutsch, LMU München)

Since then, she has been working as research assistand in the English Department of the LMU Munich. She submitted her PhD thesis in March 2017: "The Common Bond of the Sea. Derek Walcott and Joseph Conrad." (Promotion an der LMU München, betreut von Prof. Tobias Döring und PD Dr. Enno Ruge).

Since February 2018, she has been a member of the project ‘Transformations of Victorian Adventure Literature: Modernist Urban Fictions and Postcolonial Rewritings’
Currently, she is a postdoctoral fellow (DFG funded research group) and works on transformations and rewritings of Victorian adventure in postcolonial fiction.
