About RCC Event Series
Thursdays, 12:15–13:30 (during the semester)
The Lunchtime Colloquium series consists of 45–minute presentations. The talks are based on the presenter’s own research and aimed at a non-specialist audience. Each talk is followed by a question and answer session lasting around 30 minutes. This session allows audience members to seek clarification, request further information, or challenge the speaker’s argument. The Q&A is a lively and entertaining way of engaging with experts and their academic research.
All talks are completely free and open to the public. The talks may be of interest to undergraduate and graduate students in Munich, or to anyone with an interest in environmental issues.
Tuesdays, 16:30–17:45 (during the semester)
Location: conference room (room 415), fourth floor, RCC
The Tuesday Discussions bring environmental practitioners such as politicians, leaders in NGOs, and activists to the RCC to discuss topical environmental issues. The guests also offer insights into the application of different environmental qualifications and knowledge in practice.
The discussions are open primarily to members of the Doctoral Program Environment and Society (ProEnviron) and students of the Environmental Studies Certificate Program (ESCP). However, we welcome all RCC members and members of the wider public to this series of events. We are looking forward to seeing you at the discussions!

The Green Visions film series presents environmental documentaries from around the world, including discussions with directors, environmental experts, or film critics. The series is a cooperation between the Rachel Carson Center, DOK.fest München, and the Münchner Volkshochschule.
The Environmental Writing Studio offers inspiration, community, and practical approaches to the art and craft of writing. To support the transition from research to publication, the seminars provide insights from authors, editors, and lecturers about the writing process.
