Christof Mauch is Director of the Rachel Carson Center for Environment and Society, Chair in American Cultural History, Professor of History at LMU, and an Honorary Professor in Ecological History at Renmin University, China. Mauch has held Visiting Professorships around the world, including recently at Venice International University and the University of Wisconsin. He is a Past President of the European Society for Environmental History, editor-in-chief of several journals, series editor of six book series, author or editor of more than 40 books, the recipient of numerous national and international honors and awards and the convener or co-convener of more than 200 international workshops or conferences on four continents, particularly in transatlantic and international history and global environmental humanities.
Member of numerous editorial boards, book series, and national and international advisory boards, including MSCL, BIOTOPIA, CAPAS, CALAS, UNESCO Roundtables, Humboldt Foundation, FAPESP, German Ministry of Research and Education, Colombia Humanitaria, and many others.
