This Tuesday, Jonas Stuck from the Andrea von Braun Stiftung will join us for the Tuesday Discussion.

The Andrea von Braun Stiftung is a Munich-based nonprofit foundation dedicated to fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and nature-based environmental and climate protection. Its work focuses on what it calls “ecological borderlands”—often overlooked and underfunded ecosystems such as peatlands, mangroves, seagrass meadows, and alpine grasslands. By bringing together perspectives from the natural sciences, humanities, arts, and local communities, the foundation supports innovative, practice-oriented projects that connect ecological conservation with social, cultural, and economic challenges.

Jonas Stuck is an environmental historian and program lead at the Andrea von Braun Stiftung. He holds a PhD in the environmental humanities from LMU Munich, where he conducted his doctoral research at the Rachel Carson Center. His academic work explored the history of waste, pollution, and environmental inequalities, particularly during the Cold War.

The Tuesday Discussions are free and open to the public.
